Vintage Fan Quilt

DETAILS

This quilt is a beautiful example of a ‘Grandmother’s Fan’ pattern! It is full of dark florals with each point of the fan done in a rich brown fabric. There is a feed sack stamp still present on the cream fabric.

This piece was hand pieced and hand quilted. There is a lovely floral sashing that frames the quilt. The binding was pulled from the back to the front and hand stitched in place.

This quilt measures 63 x 73.5 inches. It is a thick quilt with great texture!

CONDITION

This quilt is in good vintage condition! During a much-needed bath, some color run occurred. There is some pink and teal on both the front and back that have bled. There is some tanning on the back and binding. There are two coffee-colored stains on the front that did lighten during the wash but did not completely come up. This quilt is beautiful and perfect for fall!
