Rainbow Hexagon Quilt

DETAILS

This vintage quilt is bold and beautiful! The colors are so vibrant and eye-catching! It is a large piece at 80 x 92 inches. It is a medium-weight piece with cotton batting. The quilt back is a lovely light violet!

The quilt was both hand-pieced and hand quilted. Many hours of work are stitched into this quilt! Each hexagon is 1.25 inches across! The colors are placed perfectly. The pattern is commonly known as ‘Rainbow Tile,’ and it was assembled in a method known as English Paper Piecing.

CONDITION

This quilt is in great vintage condition. The back of the quilt shows a horizontal fold line where the quilt was folded for a long time one way. There are multiple stains on the quilt back that lighten after a wash but did not fully lift. The front of the quilt is near perfect! A few light spots of discoloration are present. All of the seams are intact. This quilt is absolutely stunning! A one-of-kind piece of textile art!

CLEANING

This quilt was hand washed and laid flat to dry. Machine washing is not recommended.
