Grandmother’s Flower Basket Quilt

This piece is incredibly unique! The artist has taken a traditional hexagon block and created a flower basket motif. Additionally, the white background has been composed of hexagons. Many, many hours of work are represented here!

Lovely vintage floral fabrics were used along with solids and some woodland themed calicos! The back of the quilt is a solid white. This quilt was hand pieced and hand quilted.

The piece is a generous size and measures 75 x 88 inches. It is a medium weight quilt.

CONDITION

This quilt is in good vintage condition. There is some binding wear present. The top of the quilt contains some fabric thinning and shredding. A few seams have separation which could be mended. There are a handful of small storage marks on the front with some light fading. On the back, there is some yellowing which may have been from dye run. Overall, this is a charming and beautiful rare piece.

Please note, every attempt is taken to detail imperfections in photos, descriptions, and video. The nature of this item does lend itself to normal age-related issues and must be taken into consideration before purchasing.

CLEANING

This quilt was hand washed. Machine washing is not recommended.

Each quilt is carefully wrapped and shipped in a box. For sustainability, we do reuse boxes when possible.
