Double Pink Basket Quilt

DETAILS

This is a beautiful early basket quilt full of double pink fabrics! It has been completely stitched by hand. The backing is stunning antique calico fabric that coordinates perfectly with the quilt top.

This quilt measures 74 x 85 inches. It is a medium weight quilt with cotton batting.

CONDITION

This quilt is in good antique condition! The fabric is slightly fragile. There are some loose seams and shattered fabric. The dots on the fabric within the baskets have experienced dye rot. The dots are now small pin sized holes as the dye has eaten away at the fabric.

There is a slight discoloration along the edges and a few stains on the back. The binding shows wear. There is an original mend on the back of the quilt where a patch was carefully stitched in place. This is a sweet antique piece and would be great for display!

Please note, every attempt is taken to detail imperfections in photos, descriptions, and video. The nature of this item does lend itself to normal age-related issues and must be taken into consideration before purchasing.

CLEANING

This quilt will be sold as is. The fabric is too fragile to be immersed in water. Machine washing is not recommended.

Each quilt is carefully wrapped and shipped in a box. For sustainability, we do reuse boxes when possible.
