Blueworks Nursery Quilt

DETAILS

This blueworks quilt is stunning! The hand embroidery is very detailed and captures scenes from well-known nursery rhymes including ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and ‘Jack ‘n Jill’.

The hand quilting is very fine on this piece. The average Stitch Per Inch (SPI) is 10 but measures 12 SPI in some places!

The binding is blue and was stitched in place by hand. It is in excellent condition with no signs of wear.

This quilt measures 62 x 77 inches. It is a light weight piece with cotton batting.

CONDITION

This quilt is in great antique condition! It appears unused as there is no wear to note. There are slight pencil lines which indicate it has never been washed. There are a handful of very light spots on the quilt back and front but are only noticeable upon close inspection.

It is rare to find a blueworks quilt especially in this near pristine condition!

CLEANING

This quilt was NOT washed. Machine washing is not recommended.

For sustainability, we do reuse boxes when possible.
