Antique Basket Quilt

DETAILS

This antique basket quilt is full of lovely texture. The hand quilted medallions are stunning! The sashing contains double bar quilting which was a typical element in 1800s quilts.

The neutral colors include blues, browns, and tans. The antique calico fabrics are beautiful and rare!

This quilt measures 79 x 80 inches. It is a light-weight piece with cotton batting and a white cotton backing. This piece was completely stitched by hand. The basket handles have been appliqued in place.

CONDITION

This quilt is in great antique condition. It appears unused with no signs of wear. Due to decades of storage, there are several slight marks and tanning throughout the quilt. It is an amazing piece of antique textile art that has been well-preserved.

Please note, every attempt is taken to detail imperfections in photos, descriptions, and video. The nature of this item does lend itself to normal age-related issues and must be taken into consideration before purchasing.

CLEANING

This quilt will be sold as is. It was not washed. Machine washing is not recommended.

Each quilt is carefully wrapped and shipped in a box.
For sustainability, we do reuse boxes when possible.
