This ‘Tree of Life’ quilt contains soft pastel colors. Pinks, blues, and tans against a solid white backing give the quilt a calm and subtle feel. The tan was most likely once a green and the unstable dye faded over time.
The grid quilting is phenomenal on this piece. It measures 9-10 SPI (stitches per inch) in most places.
This quilt measures 57 x 75 inches. It is a light-weight piece with cotton batting and a solid white back.
This quilt piece is in fair antique condition. There is some staining that did not lighten when washed. The fabric is thinning and breaking in sections. There are a few small holes through the piece. This quilt has a beard guard on the top and bottom. The two long edges are traditionally bound, and this binding has frayed over the years. This would be a beautiful stacking quilt or a restoration project.
Please note, every attempt is taken to detail imperfections in photos, descriptions, and video. The nature of this item does lend itself to normal age-related issues and must be taken into consideration before purchasing.
This quilt was hand washed. Machine washing is not recommended.
